While I would be pleased to say that I have already well on my way and have already plans to attend several service, I can not. I am still very much planning my route. I have thus far sent request to the Islamic Center in Austin and a Synagogue in South Austin, asking for time to speak with religious leaders for advice and guidance.
This morning I will stop by the Catholic Center to speak with the Father there and tomorrow perhaps I will have time to go the Hindu and Baha'i temples.
I must say I feel very fortunate that for a small town there is such a variety of religious centers. But I guess that is the benefit of Austin, even for Texas we have so much religious diversity. I can only pray that the communities and congregations are as open as their websites make them appear.
